Maddux Foster Takes Silver at State Tennis Tournament

ANDREWS, Texas – Junior Maddux Foster capped his historic season with a silver medal at the UIL 4A Tennis State Championships in boys singles. He is the first Mustang Tennis player to ever reach the State finals in school history and the first to get past the first round of the state tournament.

Earlier this spring, Foster was crowned the District 3-4A champion and went on to win the UIL 4A Region I singles championship a week later. Foster became the first Andrews High School tennis player to qualify for the UIL State tournament in 13 years.

Foster closed the season with a 42-1 record, his only loss coming in the state championship final on Wednesday.
