AP World Geography Mining

By Katharine Wilkins

AP World Geography Mining

Students in Mrs. Artho’s World Geography class were miners and had to mine for chocolate chips in chocolate chip cookies. They had to "buy" the cookie, "rent" mining tools(the toothpicks and paper clips), and then try to put the cookie back to its original shape afterwards. They couldn't touch the cookie with their hands while they were mining. They then weighed their chocolate ore and had to calculate their mining costs and see if they made a profit.
