2002 School Bond
Election
After 2 1/2 years studying
facility needs within Andrews ISD, the voters were asked to approve a facility
and construction bond to make improvements and renovations that had been set
aside due to "Robin Hood. On May 4, 2002, voters gave approval to
$30,100,000 in construction bonds, with some degree of attention to be given to
virtually every building within the District.
Hunter Corral Associates, Inc., was chosen as the lead architect. Work
began in the summer of 2002, and is expected to continue for three to four
years, or until completion.
